We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help us deliver quality software solutions that are fit for use and purpose. This role offers hybrid working and will be based from our Madrid office.

What will you be doing in this role?

As a Software Engineer at Tunstall, your role will be to create and review software code, to design, develop and modify software solutions and components based on business and customer requirements using an agile mindset. Technical coordination of team of software engineers (Jr, mid-level and Senior) along with setting their team goals and measuring performance with Dev Manager collaboration. Another important part of this role includes interviewing, hiring and onboarding new members into the team with Dev Manager collaboration.

The Ideal candidate:

Any experience of working within a business moving from Legacy to modern systems and working with cloud micro services using Microsoft and / or mobile applications would be desirable, but not essential.

Key skills and experience:

• Proven experience of working with C#

• A commitment to driving production of quality software by adhering to proven practices and methodologies (TDD and Unit Testing)
• Experience of Agile Methodologies and frameworks like Scrum / Kanban / SAFe
• Good working knowledge of cloud Microservices ideally using MS technologies / Azure / Serverless Environment / Docker Containers / Kubernetes
• Good working knowledge of some of the following: asynchronous processing, message/service buses and APIs/Integrations
• Experience of automated CI/CD pipelines, Git and unit test frameworks
• Passionate about building a great consumer product that our customers will love
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to help build/grow high performing teams and drive software engineering best practices
• Courage to challenge assumptions and historical decisions to ensure that we are doing what is right and not just what is easy
